PPGI coil is a type of steel coil that stands for “Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron” coil. It is commonly used in construction and manufacturing industries. PPGI coils are made by applying a layer of paint to galvanized steel coils to enhance their durability and aesthetic appearance. The process involves cleaning, priming, and painting the surface of the coil. PPGI coils are available in various colors and finishes, offering versatility in design and application. PPGI is pre-painted galvanized iron, also known as pre-coated steel, coil-coated steel, color-coated steel, etc., typically with a hot dip zinc-coated steel substrate. The term is an extension of GI which is a traditional abbreviation for Galvanized Iron.

The heat resistance of the PPGL sheet is better than that of the PPGI sheet. PPGL sheet can withstand temperatures of 315 ℃. Also, PPGL sheets have better corrosion resistance than PPGI. It is because the dense layer made of aluminum can prevent the base metal from further eroding.

PPGI is used in daily necessities, housings of household appliances (air conditioners, washing machines, etc.), ventilation ducts, outdoor billboards, retaining walls, etc., equipment hoppers, various stamping parts, and so on.
